[Businessmtg] Archiving and question for Ann webmaster and Steve:

Additional thoughts of my opinion since Jerry’s addition is this. I agree
that there apparently was no group conscience about archiving.

There was no precedent to follow. It was made up. Without intent to
harm. Maybe the decision to archive was based on the fact that email will
continue to exist, deleted or not? Idk what their thinking was. Maybe our
founder, Steve can explain further. How about it Steve?

However, the fact remains that our emails are still going to be on the
internet, archiving or not. Having a GC will not change this. We are not
a face to face meeting. Things happen differently online. Heck, WSO, is
still figuring it out. We may be part of this.

Don’t get me wrong, I am for anonymity. But then again, for online
purposes, is anonymity another way of keeping secrets? I heard someone say
recently, secrets keep you sick. Idk....where is the line, what is the
line, on line?

How about we ask the webmaster? Ann, what is the bottom line here? Will
emails still be visible despite them not being archived? Will it free up
the server space to not archive? Or make your job a little easier? I don’t
even know if these are issues.

All of our business meetings are archived, all of our GC’s are archived.

So my point is do we need to have a vote about this? Change the things you
can. The wisdom to know the difference.

If people are concerned because more people are joining, we already have
protocols in place for adverse behaviors. Not much else to do here. IMHO.
