[List Administrator]

Hello fellow Business Meeting members, 

I'm Jerry H., ASP's List Administrator. This month's topic, Service,
will allow us to explore the needs ASP has and hopefully how members of
this Business Meeting can help in supporting the efforts of ASP to
provide the wonderful recovery experiences our many members count on to
improve their lives. 

ASP continues to have excellent topic leads, thoughtful recovery shares,
a sound financial base, and a few dedicated trusted servants. ASP's
structure relies on the participation of its Business Meeting members as
the foundation of its service to its recovering members. Of late,
though, we have had little success in encouraging BM members to stand
for our open service positions. 

It is the hope of the Steering Committee that this Business Meeting
discussion will fuel the desire in some to step into the ranks of ASP
service as part of their personal recovery. Those of us in ASP service
can attest to the personal growth we've experienced and the rewards of
being of use. We welcome your input and considerations as we all share
our experience, strength, hope, and, yes, fears, of service over the
next 7-10 days. 

I am turning the Business Meeting gavel over to Anne O., ASP's current
#2 List Administrator and Greeter Chair for the duration of this
discussion. She's an excellent example of service leadership and I look
forward to where this discussion may take all of us.
