ASP is my only access to Al-Anon, so it is a lifeline to me.  I join the
business meeting as much as possible because it's important to me to serve
where I can and to give back because I've been given so much.

I'm quite confused by some of the comments that have been made about
behaviors/problem people.   Second tradition says that there is only one
authority--a loving HP as made known through the group conscience.  Seventh
Tradition says we are self-supporting.  Tradition 12 says we place
principles above personalities.  The concepts show us how to apply our
steps and traditions in the context of service.

If people are observing something being done in ASP that they feel does not
fit with our traditions and concepts, it would be very helpful to all of us
to say so, so that we can clear the air and get back on track.  I don't
understand a lot of what gets mentioned about previous problems, maybe
because everyone else on ASP is anonymous and since I live on the other
side of the world, I'm not in a position to know anyone on a more personal
level.  That said, sometimes it sounds like personalities are getting in
the way of principles.

Do we need to be holding up some issues to the light of the traditions and
concepts?
