[Businessmtg] Secretary /LA..needed ideas/Treasurer

Hi everyone,

I am trying to catch up on all the shares and in particular the business
meeting shares - I've been out of touch all weekend while Nova Scotia
Canada has been dealing with Hurricane Dorian - No injuries, but lots of
power outages (90% of the Province without power during the storm), downed
trees, high water levels, storm surges and one massive crane that toppled
fortunately on a building under construction.  I am at work so now have
power (still none at my home), but I AM at work - LOL.

I do qualify for a service position - been in ASP for 15 months, am a
member of Al-anon only but have done no other service, besides a packing up
books and moving chairs at f2f meetings.  I am ready to begin service, but
am apprehensive about beginning - especially in such a position as
Secretary or Treasurer.  FEAR!!!!   Length of time, computer abilities,
etc.).  I joined the business meeting to hopefully help me understand how
the ASP online meeting works.

So the decision is - jump into the shallow end? (chair, greeter) or into
the deep end (steering committee) and hope someone throws me a life
preserver?
