I think Anna’s  suggestion is a great one.   I determined during last Business Meeting that my entry to ASP came at time when there were some issues with messages that Greeters were sending so I don’t know exactly what information they are routinely sharing.   

I’ve been in AlAnon a long time and I’m fairly computer literate but there were things that confused me.   I eventually figured them out by checking the website and asking some members who reached out to me.  

I don’t send a message to each newcomer but when someone makes their first share, I try to send out a welcome and thanks for sharing.   Several have returned messages asking for explanations of abbreviations or other points and they often have no idea what CAL is or how to obtain it. 
 
I realize that we are dealing with adults who should be responsible for themselves but many are in crisis and confused when they come to ASP.   If we are not including some basic instructions or guidelines as well as specifically referring them to the webpage and who to ask if they have further questions, then maybe we should consider doing that.
