Hi ASPers,

Thanks Beverly.

I believe that both Beverly and I have requested this topic, but since she's
now the Secretary and Chair of the Business Meeting I'll present the Cliff's
Notes version of this topic.

We have had issues with members of ASP requesting that a topic or issue be
discussed in the Business Meeting and that topic don't make it onto the
Agenda. From my vantage point as ASP Founder and member of the Steering
Committee where the Agenda for the upcoming Business Meeting is generally
discussed, I have seen a variety of scenarios where requests for agenda
topics got lost, overlooked, swept under the rug, discussed privately
instead of taken to the BM, etc. Sometimes this is simply stuff falling in
the cracks, but there have been situations where I believe topics were
intentionally avoided. This is NOT necessarily directed at the current
officers serving on the Steering Committee. These problems were around
before they were elected.

I have made several requests in the Steering Committee to address this issue
by creating a webpage where every request for a topic in the Business
Meeting will be listed. This is actually an admin issue that could have been
addressed by the Steering Committee. While there has been a list of , but
the Steering Committee hasn't had a formal discussion or taken any action
other than , it hasn't been, so I'm taking it to the membership for
discussion and potentially a group conscience.

I believe that this page should provide the following information on every
topic request.

A.	Topic Name (provided by member)
B.	Name of member requesting topic
C.	Date requested
D.	Description; member's description of topic - OPTIONAL

The objective of this it so maintain a web page that contains a list of all
Business Meeting topic requests so that everyone, both in the Steering
Committee and in the Business Meeting as access to the same information.
Also, a webpage with this information available to the membership would go a
long way towards improving the transparency of the Steering Committee
(responsible for the administration of ASP including admin decisions at ASP)
and the membership in the Business Meeting (responsible for policy decisions
at ASP).

So, there you have it. We'd like to hear from the membership in the Business
Meeting.

Love and SERENITY,

Steve
