Hi ASPers,

 

As many of you know, we have two significant vacancies in our Steering
Committee.  In the meantime, I am fulfilling the duties of these positions. 

 

1.	List Administrator

The List Administrator is the primary trusted servant at ASP.

The job includes a number of duties which are listed in ASP Motion #4:

*             The primary leadership position of ASP

*             Chairs the Steering Committee

*             Primary spokesperson for the Steering Committee

*             Deals directly with members of ASP regarding ASP policy &
practices

*             Makes autonomous decisions regarding ASP affairs, when needed

*             Keep others on Steering Committee thoroughly informed of all
communication involving or representing the Steering Committee

*             Responsible for technical administration of the ASP mailing
list

*             Meeting Contact

*             Primary contact person with WSO

 

 

2.	Secretary

Motion #4 also describes the Secretary's job:

*             Chairs the Business Meeting

*             Responsible for the Daily Chairpersons in the ASP meeting

*             Appoints Daily Chairpersons to 6 month position

*             Instructs/trains Daily Chairpersons

*             Alternate List Administrator #1

 

 

In addition to the duties of the position, the List Administrator and
Secretary work with the other ASP officers on the Steering Committee dealing
with administrative issues of ASP.  

 

 

There are minimum requirements to serve as an Officer of ASP on the Steering
Committee:  at least one year of active participation in ASP, at least one
year of other service to ASP (Daily Chairperson or Greeter).  Members of
Al-Anon who are also members of AA are not permitted to serve at this level.
