hi biz pals.

so... after considering all that has been said on this matter, i have
changed my mind. yowsas. i know, right? we actually can do that here and in
life.
I now believe after lots of thought and reading others info and opinions
that alanon/ASP truly would be best chaired by those with a min of 6 mos of
ACTIVE attendance... meaning sharing and being a part of.

There are a boatload of folks here who don't share. ever. literally. i know
some.
That seems not ok, for a more formal-ish service position,,,
even if they have been online for a dozen years.
-it had not occurred to me. until now... that this might be an OK
determining factor.

We do have newcomers who have shared every day since coming and have yet to
hit 6 mos, too.

It is a conundrum but after ,, like i said, re-reading, thinking on... i
think there ought to be a hard line of 6 months... and perhaps we also look
at attendance?
Once per week share at a min?
Like a f2f?
i am unsure how one might go about monitoring this,,, as it seems a little
police-state-esqe. Totally NON alanon!

but without that first sort of contribution to alanon/service to our
fellowship thru sharing, seems like a person might not be a solid and
healthy fit for a chair position.

but alas,,, just my new thoughts, for today.
