[Businessmtg] Tradition 7 and Service

As the Tradition Meeting chair this term, I am planning to find CAL and share my thoughts on the importance of financial support and member service that is needed for a meeting to be truly self-supporting when Tradition Seven rolls around in 2 weeks.
There are 3 more weeks than I need to get through the Traditions and Concepts one time each during this term. I will gladly prepare an extra meeting on Tradition Seven emphasizing financial support at an appropriate point before the next time the Treasurer passes the basket. I can then do a similar meeting on service at an appropriate time when we are about to call for chairs to take over in January. If the group prefers, I will gladly relinquish those meetings to someone from the Steering Committee to cover the appropriate topics.
I have attended most of the ASP Business Meetings since I joined this group. It seems that the topic of filling service positions is frequently on the agenda with no real solution. I believe that a part of the problem is the nature of the online meeting. Members don't see what is going on behind the scenes as they are more likely to observe in f2f meetings but even f2f meetings struggle to fill positions and pay the rent sometimes. I have mentioned previously, as have several others in this and other Business Meetings, that we need to share more about the topics of finances and services to help newer members understand and remind longer term members what is needed to keep ASP meetings going so we can each recover from our own disease.
