Hi Lynne,

I'll try to add some data as well as a bit more explanation to Anne's answer to your question about how many people there are subscribed to ASP.

The current number of email addresses subscribed to ASP as of 6PM this evening, Pacific Time, is 3,192.  Yesterday it was 3,206. 

Please note that I said "email addresses" instead of people. That is because many people subscribe to ASP using an email address that they abandon instead of unsubscribing. Historically, ASP has purged the list of dead email addresses every couple of years. This is done by sending out a note to every email address asking them to respond if they would like to continue to be a member of ASP. All that is needed is to reply to the note. 
Just to make sure members have every chance to get the message, this is sent out several times over a month-long period. At the end of the month, we unsubscribe email address that we haven't heard from. Yes, there is always a handful of members that miss the boat, but we re-subscribe them promptly when they surface.
Our experience in the past has been that about 2/3's of the email addresses subscribed to ASP are dead - no one is there. Since it's been about 4 years since we did this,
