Hi Everyone,
I just realized that when I sent a response to Georgia’s questions on Sunday, I only sent my comments to her. Below is my response to her query.

Hi Georgia.
Thanks for you questions.
Although I went to my first Al-Anon meeting about 36 years ago, when they couldn’t tell me how to get my husband to stop drinking I didn’t stick with it. However, 23 years ago, I was broken enough to come back and start working a program of recovery for me. I plan to continue to work my Al-Anon program. My life is just a lot more sane when I do.

As to your second query, I believe that I do understand Al-Anon principles and I work every day to apply them to my life. I’m still learning even after all of these years in AL-Anon. Being an ASP greeter for a year has given me insight about how ASP works. My past experiences on other boards has given me an understanding about how steering committees work. I expect that other members of the ASP steering committee will be happy to help me with the rest.

Please let me know if you have other questions. I’m happy to answer them.

Mary A.
