Hi! 

I would agree that a 3 year commitment is a long time for that kind of service position.  I say this as someone who at one point served in that way on a different recovery loop for years.  It was “easier” for other people to let me take care of it and it was “easier” for me to just do it until it wasn’t “easier” anymore for any of us.  

Other long running groups I have been a part of do nominations and elections to positions on an annual basis.  There are sometimes still the same people doing service, but at least they get to rotate to do different things 😊  

Also, this is a really big and active group.  Seems like good opportunities to find people who will serve…imperfectly.  Imperfect service is good.
