Hi All,

I tend to agree that the time might be too long for one person to hold the
LA position under discussion.  Another suggestion would be to
have"assistant" members for each service position and especially the LA.
That way you have a member 'in training' to take over if the primary LA is
unavailable or steps down prior to the end of the time in service.

Also, whoever accepts members eligible for service positions might want to
check a person's service history (OL and f2f) and, possibly, shorten the
time required at ASP for running for a service position.

Many years ago a number of us worked, US and worldwide, to bring OL
meetings into the fold of being as much like f2f meetings as possible.
There were no specified time limits for accepting a service position.  That
may be one reason there are not many who volunteer.

Keep It Simple comes to mind here.
