I think the requirement for topic chairs should stay at 6 months in ASP.
Spending 6 months acclimatizing to ASP and participating is a valid
requirement for chairing.

However, when there are no volunteers that fit the requirements and there
are some that "almost" do or have many years of Al-anon, but not the
required 6 months in ASP, I think it should be in the discretion of the
Secretary.    At that point, is it not more important to have an active and
willing Topic Chair than requesting someone to continue on after their
term?
