Hi ASPers,

 

OK, it appears that there is a significant consensus that agrees that we
need to elect a Group Representative, and a less clear consensus that the
Group Rep be a member of the Steering Committee vs. separate from the
Steering Committee.  While a few mentioned the issue of financial support of
the new Area, and no one spoke against it, not enough mentioned or discussed
this factor to draw any conclusions regarding a consensus.  

 

We will continue this discussion in September's Business Meeting, and since
that will be our third month of discussion on the topic, we may reach the
point of having a motion on the GR section of the Motion #4 update.

 

In the meantime, the discussion of the Group Rep section of the Motion #4
update is closed, and we will move on to the next section.
