Fellow business meeting participants.

Opinion:  I'm trying to wrap my head around these issues.  I've been around Al-Anon and other organizations for many 24 hours.  This group has survived/thrived for 25 years, so 'if it ain't broke don't fix it comes to mind."  I can also see that things have changed internally and externally. It is probably passed time to update our group conscious on some matters especially with the WSO announcement about the recent changes establishing the position of GR for online groups.

With my limited understanding of all this, I'm inclined to trust the process that the steering committee had gone through thus far.  I believe we should move forward with as much speed as our email format allows and try to implement these changes.  I think it is important that we have a GR in place asap, to help lead us in this exciting new direction to full legitimacy and participation for our group in the wider Al-Anon structure.
