Hi, Mary and all,
Back in the day our Prudent Reserve was decided to be "one year's expenses," then calculated to be about $1,300 and money above the PR was sent to the WSO quarterly. It appears our annual expenses are now more than that $1,300 figure. This leads me to two questions:
1) If we annualize our current expenses what is our new Prudent Reserve amount?
2) In a very few months there will be this new non-geographical Area for electronic groups which will require financial support from the various electronic groups including ASP. While it's too early to know this new Area's budget, wouldn't it be wise to postpone future WSO donations (December's at least) until we decide how we're going to split any excess funds we may have between our Area and the WSO?

Hi ASPers.
September/October Contributions/income Totaled: $591.00 + $.02 interest =
$591.02
Expenses were:
ASP September server $99
ASP October server $99
PayPal transaction fees: $2.92
KS PO Box $146.00
WA PO Box $118.00
Total $464.92
As of October 31. across our two bank accounts the total funds were
$1,564.45.
Expenses were particularly large over these two months since we paid for
both the Washington and Kansas PO Boxes. Those costs are a yearly cost. We
should be back in the black in terms of funds above our prudent reserve
before the end of the year. Our policy is to send funds above our prudent
reserve to the WSO. Because, at the end of September, our funds were below
the established prudent reserve goal, no funds were sent to the WSO.
The 2021 donation spreadsheet has been updated through October and sent to
Steve. Hopefully it will be posted on the website soon.
Mary A.
