Hi Missy,
While it is true that campaigning for someone in Al-Anon is inappropriate,
it does happen. People continue to be people and Al-Anon's continue to be
Al-Anons, warts and all.
Where is the line between appropriate questions and comments, and
politicking?
I may be wrong, but I think Jerry would agree with me that a relatively
simple comment about a candidate as politicking, especially if it is a
positive comment such as what you made regarding Alison. On the other hand,
I might consider a negative comment politicking, especially if the comment
was emotionally charged and not factual.
It is important to remember that the purpose of this Q&A is for the members
of ASP to have an opportunity to ask pertinent questions and make pertinent
observations. Recovery includes healthy communication, especially on
difficult topics. If we focus on healthy communication, we're probably OK
even though not everyone will like what we have to say.
Love and SERENITY,
Steve

Subject: [Businessmtg] Apologies if i campaigned

Hello all,

I just read another share that said we should not campaign for particular
members to hold positions. I apologize if my email was campaigning. Of
course if other candidates throw their hat in the ring, I would consider
them as well. Relative newbie to how business meetings work in asp, please
forgive my learning curve.
