I have always been told “there are no musts in Al-Anon,” only guidelines and suggestions.  I believe our first obligation is in paying our bills and supporting our own trusted servants for any expenses they incur on behalf of the group.  Supporting WSO is important and beneficial but it is not our primary purpose.  

I believe that it is time for a recalculation of our budget, including a projection of what expenses may be incurred by our participation in the new Virtual Area.  Only then can we  establish a prudent reserve and determine what we are able to give to WSO.
