Hi all.

It does appear like we are not allowing the group conscious to make
decisions, that the 'power' seems to lie in the hands of a few.
It gives my tummy a yucko feeling to think we are not conducting ourselves
as a real Al-Anon group, like a F2F, going through the decision making
process with our HP as the guiding force.
Adding a seat, taking away a seat, assuming there are not folks in this
group 'qualified' to sit on the steering committee.... It seems
presumptuous.

How about keeping Webmaster, if it is such a small job? Then a newer person
trying out service does not have to feel overwhelmed, and might just say
yes to this job because it is their first service position, and it is not
HUGE in its task list.
And adding GR?
Why not?

I dont understand why we would get rid of one seat just to create one
exactly like it.... The secretary aide..
as well as what is wrong with having additional seats on the SC?

Also,
If we are to be an ongoing group, lasting and healthy, I think eradicating
the power of a few, and putting it back into the whole group's conscience
is the healthier future route to take.
Because, ya, it does feel like one or two hold the cards here.
and the future of ASP does indeed rely upon its health for its members.
