Hi ASPers,

 

I'm extremely pleased to report that we have a consensus on the Web Master /
Secretary section of our discussion to update Motion #4 describing the
Officer positions on the Steering Committee and their rough job
descriptions.

 

The consensus of the Business Meeting was clearly to accept the Steering
Committee's recommended changes to Motion #4 regarding the Secretary and Web
Master portions of Motion #4.   are as follows:

1.	The position of Web Master be eliminated.
2.	The Secretary shall be responsible for the duties of the Web Master,
namely the maintenance,  updating and posting of voting polls on the ASP
website.
3.	That the Secretary may appoint an assistant, known as the Recording
Secretary.

a.	The Recording Secretary shall assist the Secretary as requested,
particularly with the maintenance of the ASP website.
b.	The Recording Secretary is a 1-year service position.
c.	A year's service as Recording Secretary counts as qualifying service
for serving as an Officer on the Steering Committee.

 

I want to thank everyone that has responded in the last 24 hours.  It really
made a difference in being able to determine whether we have reached a
consensus - or not - on the issue Secretary  / Web Master issue.
