Welcome to the bigger Al-Anon fellowship and your first peek into the service structure.
And yes, my personal opinion is that the closure of thousands of face-to-face meetings resulting in a world-wide massive shift to electronic meetings made it clear to the Delegates that it was time to change and get with the program.

As a newer member (under 2 years) of ASP, and never been to a F2F meeting, I just assumed ASP was already a part of the WSO. But I will also say I don't know much about the WSO. So yes, thinking this already existed, I am all for it. As someone else mentioned, it is long overdue. Times have changed so much, it only makes sense to for WSO to recognized digital groups. Maybe this is a positive side effect of COVID?
