 I agree with the proposed changes described below.
Also, I agree with Jerry's proposal that the business meeting be extended, if necessary, to allow for a vote on the full motion 4 if there is group consensus on the founders part.

OK, the discussion of the changes regarding the addition of the Group
Representative position on the Steering Committee is concluded, and as I
mentioned in a separate email, we have a consensus on that portion of the
Steering Committee's recommendations to update Motion #4.
Please do not post any further discussion on the Group Representative
portion of the Motion #4 update topic.
We are now going to move on to the discussion of the changes recommended for
the Founder positions on the Steering Committee.
As noted on the web page comparing the original Motion #4 and the
recommended changes, the portion describing the Founders is new.  While the
Founder positions have existed at ASP since the beginning, and like it or
not, you're stuck with us because these positions are created by the
Founding Policy, the Founders have never been officially given anything to
do, nor have the others on the Steering Committee been officially authorized
to ask them to perform some duty or task.  
Please note that our recommendation does not assign the Founders anything.
It merely acknowledges that the Founders have a voice and vote on the
Steering Committee and that the Steering Committee may ask them to perform
any task or serve as a backup or alternate for any service or service
position.
