Hi ASPers,
I trust that everyone survived the Holiday Season, and hopefully much better
than that.  We woke up with the power out and snow on th ground, so a
roaring fire in the fire place was my first order of the day.  My older
daughter called and we had a very nice chat.  The younger daughter lived up
to her nickname "Brat" and sent a text message.  Sigh.  
Things have been hopping on the List Administrator front.  Anna and I have
spent a number of hours on the phone and exchanged a few thousand emails.
While Anna wasn't officially the new List Administrator until today, I added
her to the server and have included her in every List Administrator email
since she was elected.  She's also been able to participate in some of the
Steering Committee discussions, so she's been able to get her feet wet.
Maybe she'd like a pair of hip waders!  In any case, I am truly impressed
with this young lady, and I'm looking forward to her service to ASP.  Today
is her first day on the job - please welcome her.  
We also elected Alison as our first Group Representative at our last
Business Meeting.  Some historic stuff has happened and even more is about
to happen in three weeks, but unfortunately Alison resigned a few days ago.

Today is also the first day of the new batch of Daily Chairs that are the
heart of our recovery meeting at ASP.   I have no doubt that the server will
mess this up, but I'll try anyway.  Here are the Daily Chairs for the next 6
months.

As you may have noticed, Mary resigned recently as Treasurer.  As a result,
we have three significant vacancies on the Steering Committee: Secretary,
Treasurer and Group Representative.  Anne O. will be stepping up as Acting
Treasurer and I will continue as Acting Secretary.
