Hi Business Friends,

I would like to make a general comment in regard to "permanent" positions as it relates to the discussion of the Bylaws.

It has been an extra privilege for me to have two past delegates in my district that I knew "up close and personal" in my early years of Al-Anon.  One was my sponsor for many years.  It is true that they were Past Delegates forever.  However, it did not give them special privileges except for that recognition at various events.  My sponsor continuously reminded me that the fact she met Lois and had tea didn't give her any extra authority or privilege - she was still and always would be an A-Anoner working on recovery, here for the same reasons I was.
