Thank you Heidi for the topic, your share, and for being of service to ASP.

The first thing I began noticing after joining Al-Anon was the beautiful cloud formations in the sky, then came the moving songs on the radio and beautiful lyrics.  I felt that deep sense of belonging and began looking people in the eye, connecting and smiling.  The knowledge that I was no longer alone and had a higher power was exhilarating, then when  I made an amends to my father and felt the presence of a higher power, I knew that I had reclaimed my sense of wonder.  What is truly wonderful is as I keep coming back, it just keeps getting better.
