HI Missy.... you bring up a good question about vacancies at ASP.  I rely
heavily on the ASP website to guide me in my responses.  While I'd like to
be able to point you to the trusted servants page, I will wait until that is
updated.  What I can point to is the service structure the business meeting
voted on and agreed to last October.

that lists all of the positions and an update on the responsibilities of
each.  The Group Representative was added then.  We did have someone step
forward during the November meeting with a January start date, but she
resigned in late December and the position became vacant then.   In March I
gave the update as interim GR and mentioned then that the position was
vacant, but email is a terrible way to manage this!!!! 

So with that said, there are 3 openings that Steve and I as founders are
covering until we have members step forward to volunteer.  I am covering the
Treasurer and GR positions and Steve is covering the Secretary opening.  We
may not have formally announced these openings in a meeting this year or on
the website but they have been referenced, we are actively working on
getting the website updated which will help!

I just want to repeat what Steve has said in the past.  As founders, he and
I will fill gaps left by vacancies until a member steps forward and submits
a resume for any of the open positions.  As founders, this is not so much
double duty as much as these positions are administrative in nature and have
functions that need to be covered, using the founders to fill those gaps,
avoids our other trusted servants from the double duty they have borne in
the past - and hopefully prevents burn out.

Thanks Anne for the update. 800 meetings, 300 subscribed reps, WOW! That's a
lot to manage. It will be interesting to hear more after you attend the
assembly and they start figuring out the management of this HUGE Area.

Is there a plan to try and fill this role so you aren't doing double duty?
I don't remember a call to fill the position once the elected person stepped
down. What is the procedure? Thanks for your patience with questions!
