We are excited to announce completion of the first phase of our upgrade to fully integrate Al-Anon Family Groups meeting electronically technologically with physical groups. The upgrade is scheduled to be implemented on Saturday, March 19th, which will result in planned outages for AFG Connects and the Online Store minimally for the morning. We appreciate your planning accordingly.

 The changes we are implementing primarily impact Area Group Records Coordinators (AGRCs) who will now be able to edit the new Participants field and will be able to run a report of groups meeting electronically within their Area, if any, through the Online Group Records web application (OGR). The changes will be accompanied by revised Group Records forms for groups meeting physically. These will be available in all three languages on al-anon.org starting Monday, March 21st. Detailed information on the forms and OGR changes will be posted in the AGRC AFG Connects community.

 The upgrade also includes more significant changes impacting the database itself and WSO maintenance screens. These changes provide the foundation for future, likely substantial, user-interface and improvements to OGR. These will provide AGRCs the ability to maintain groups meeting electronically in their Areas. In the meantime, the WSO will continue to be responsible for registering and updating information related to these groups. The WSO will be rolling out revised Group Records forms for groups meeting electronically shortly. We will keep you posted.
