Hi folks,
I was pointed out to me by one of our observant trusted servants that I left
the Group Rep position off the list of Steering Committee members.
Thanks Lynne!
So, please add the GR to the list and note that Anne is holding down the
fort acting as our Group Rep.
Hugs,
Steve

Subject: [Businessmtg] Meeting Agenda Topic

Hi ASPers,

It's time to move on with the agenda of this month's Business Meeting. The
topic is presented by the members of the Steering Committee, and it is a bit
broad and vague, so the discussion may wander around accordingly.

We'd like to talk about the ASP service positions. Specifically, the open
service positions on the Steering Committee, and even more specifically
those open service positions that actually provide a service to the group.

The ASP Steering Committee consists of the following positions:

List Administrator Lynne

Secretary OPEN (Steve)

Greeter Committee Chair Kelley

Treasurer OPEN (Anne)

Founders (2) Steve & Anne

At Large (2) OPEN

The concern is the two open positions of Secretary and Treasurer that are
currently being filled by myself and Anne, respectively. For a variety of
reasons, we would much prefer that these two positions be filled by other
members of ASP instead of the two Founders stepping in and providing that
service.

At the same time, we need to understand that members of the Steering
Committee not only perform the duties of their individual position, but
perhaps more importantly, serve on the Steering Committee participating in
the broader administrative decisions or our Al-Anon group. As such, members
of the Steering Committee need to have some depth of experience in ASP so
they have a working knowledge of how ASP works, our group consciences, and
equally important, a solid foundation in Al-Anon's Traditions.

Love and SERENITY,

Steve
