[Businessmtg] Al-Anon Guidelines - Group Conscience

Good Day all. I have read with interest everyone's ideas regarding this
meeting's agenda and vacancies. I admit that I am concerned about the
number of seats left vacant and the dwindling filled positions that need to
lead the group. I am a firm believer in rotation and people stepping up
and taking their turn.
Having said that, and despite looking over the website extensively I still
don't feel like I have the experience needed to fill a SC position. It
feels to me that there are a lot of people with much more understanding
than I, of how admin works with this group. Maybe I just don't have the
Al-Anon experience I need yet to fulfil one of these positions and the only
way to get that experience is to be here, show up and learn.

This is a valuable, important Al-Anon Group, the first one I joined when I
became aware that I needed to do something. It has huge benefits,
especially since it is a daily group and 24-7 across the world. Good
people are here and the help they (we) need is found within this group. I
personally thank founders, administrators and committee members who devote
time and effort to us, its members and also to the group itself so that it
is sustainable and stable.

I think suggestions made by Jerry were valid and also that taking a Group
Conscience is a good idea, but I am not sure how that's done in an online
group.

I appreciate the links that get sent via email from business meeting
members because I can't always find what I am looking for when I go
directly to the website.
The statistics are great and the trusted servants reports are very helpful
to those of us that are still learning.
I appreciate all of this.

/Edith
