Hello,
The steering committee has several announcements to relay.
1. Kelley resigned as the greeter chair effective 12/31/2022. While she
gave us a couple months notice, we have been unable to find a volunteer
to take on this role so far. Which leads us to #2. But first, I would
like to take this opportunity to thank Kelley for her service to ASP!
She was a fantastic greeter chair (I say this from experience as I was
a greeter under her last year) and we will miss her on the steering
committee.
2. The steering committee met via Zoom in December to discuss this
impending change. This means that I am the only elected member of the
steering committee with Steve and Anne (the founders) being available
to fill in (temporarily) roles the steering committee requests them to
fill. At our zoom meeting, we decided to rotate positions to the
following:
List Administrator - Lynne (no change)
Greeter Chair - Anne (change from Kelley)
Secretary - Lynne (change from Steve)
Treasurer - Steve (change from Anne)
Group Representative - Anne (no change)
3. This means we have the following vacancies on the steering
committee:
Greeter Chair (3 year term)
Secretary (3 year term)
Treasurer (3 year term)
Group Representative (3 year term)
At-Large Member (6 month term)
At-Large Member (6 month term)
More information on these positions can be found here

_structure_revised_OCT_2021.html. The At-large positions are
mentioned here in #12: [3]https://asp-afg.org/founding-statement/
The steering committee is working on guides/instructions for each
position. For instance, Steve wrote up what he did for the Secretary
position as it was completely new to me. I have found them extremely
helpful as I learn this position. We are working on similar documents
for the List Administrator, Treasurer, Greeter Chair and Group
Representative. One note is that these are generally not hard and fast
rules of how newly elected trusted servants must do their jobs as ASP
gives its trusted servants autonomy to fulfill their roles as described
in Motion 22. However, these will make it much easier (in my opinion)
for newly elected trusted servants to learn the positions and know how
previous people have performed their duties.
If you are interested in learning about any of these open positions,
please contact me, Anne or Steve. Or send an email to
[4]steering_committee at asp-afg.org. If you are interested in applying
for any of the open positions, please fill out the ASP resume
([5]https://asp-afg.org/members/resume/) and send to the steering
committee.
Hugs,
Lynne
