Hi ASPers,

Before I go any further, I’d like to announce that we have a new Recording Secretary!  Betsy C. stepped up and became our first official Recording Secretary on December 1st.  Betsy and I spent some quality time on the phone, first discussing the details of the position, followed by a few challenges in getting her logged in – I succeeded in POing the server enough that it kicked me out.  😊  With the help of our server’s support, we succeeded a few days later.  Betsy quickly learned how to make several updates on our website.  Since Lynne took the reins of Acting Secretary on December 15th, Betsy works with Lynne now and my role is backup and assist as needed.  

As you know by now, Kelley resigned as Greeter Chair effective January 1st.  Kelley’s departure made it clear that we needed to juggle the Steering Committee positions; not just to make life easier, but to bolster Lynne’s visibility, posture and experience as the primary elected leader of ASP.  So, as noted, the musical chairs rotation looks like this:

    List Administrator: Lynne, elected List Administrator – no change

    Secretary: Steve, Acting Secretary → Lynne, Acting Secretary

    Greeter Chair: Kelley → Anne, Acting Greeter Chair

    Treasurer: Anne, Acting Treasurer → Steve, Acting Treasurer

    Group Rep: Anne, Acting Group Rep – no change

Lynne took over the Secretary position from me in mid-December so that she would be the one that handled both the rotation of our Daily Chairs and handled all of the process of announcing, opening and chairing this Business Meeting.  Anne continued as the Acting Treasurer through the end of the year and passed that baton on to me on the 1st of the month.  Since ASP’s business mailing address is the PO Box in my home town, there was no need to open a new PO Box for donations.
