[Businessmtg] Business Meeting - Al-Anon Declaration

   Hi Business Pals,

   I like the idea of including the Al-Anon Declaration in a meeting
   closing.  To me it epitomizes Step 12 - carrying the message, and
   Tradition 3 that states the only requirement for membership is a
   problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend could be reinforced by
   the saying that the hand of Al-Anon is there for anyone who reaches out
   for help.


   I remember when my f2f group made the tough decision to forego the
   Lord's Prayer at the end of our meetings and use the Al-Anon
   Declaration instead.  We had decided since we emphasize to newcomers
   that Al-Anon is not a religious program, it might be more welcoming to
   forego a specific religious prayer.  It was a hard consensus but we
   also knew that decisions aren't necessarily etched in stone, and if
   something doesn't work, it can be changed.
