[Businessmtg] Al-Anon Declaration

The Al-Anon Service Manual mentions the Al-Anon Declaration after the Suggested Closing (https://al-anon.org/for-members/members-resources/manuals-and-guidelines/service-manual/  page 19)  It reads:

"Al-Anon Declaration  

It is suggested that the groups close in a manner that is agreeable to the group conscience. Many groups say the Al-Anon Declaration after the Suggested Al-Anon / Alateen Closing. 

Let It Begin with Me. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, let the hand of Al-Anon and Alateen always be there, and - Let It Begin with Me." 



My current f2f meeting says the Declaration - all of us together - at the end of every meeting. I appreciate the reminder to do my part - when asked - in the wider world. 

I support adding the Al-Anon Declaration to the meeting closing. I do not have a preference on a particular day or if multiple days. 

Whether or not our members choose to read the declaration (or any other part of the meeting) isn't really a factor for me. Sometimes I don't read the meeting at all, sometimes I skip to the share, sometimes I need to slow down and I appreciate the opening and the closing.
