[Businessmtg] Newcomers packet, digital copy

Hi friends,

I will try to summarize my opinions the current topic.

1. I received hard copies of newcomer materials at my f2f meeting.  I read
them many times, treasured the info, and still have them. If ASP had been
my only Al-Anon contact,  I certainly would have appreciated digital copies
of the materials.

2. As a current greeter,  I feel it would be relatively simple to offer and
send a digital copy of a newcomer packet to those joining the group. Hard
copies would prove more challenging in our online group.

3. Referencing the link in Tori's email,  it appears the WSO has a digital
packet we could purchase, and send a gift card type link to newcomers.  It
doesn't seem permission would be needed.

4. Anne's original request was discussion of getting permission to give out
digital newcomer packets. I would like to hear from Anne, what materials
did you envision being sent out? I imagine if it were something we typed up
or quoted,  yes we could need permission to quote copyrighted material.
Wouldn't purchasing the packets from WSO (See #3) eliminate needed
permission?
