[Businessmtg] Beginners' Packets

Electronic beginners' packets are a great idea.  I am in favor of
purchasing one for each newcomer to give as a gift.  In this way we can
honor Tradition Seven by being fully self-supporting.

I didn't get a newcomers packet when I joined ASP.  It wasn't a big deal to
me because I already had one from my first Face to Face group.  The
information in that packet was an essential part of beginning my road to
recovery.

I think we could authorize the Steering Committee to work out the logistics
with whatever guidance they feel they need from the Business Meeting.

I don't recommend sending paper packets.  The logistics are too complicated
and there are so many people now who aren't in the habit of reading pieces
of paper.  This is an electronic meeting so electronic beginners' packets
just make sense.
