Thank you to everyone for the lively, productive discussion.  Hearing about
history and logistics and options has helped me evolve my opinion.

I just looked at the WSO link.  It's simple, attractive and informative.
It points the way to learning more.  Providing the link to newcomers
wouldn't violate any copyrights.  I don't imagine altering the email sent
to newcomers would be a problem.  As Recording Secretary, I'd be happy to
do it myself if so instructed by the Secretary.

I am now in favor of repealing our previous motion *and* adding the WSO
welcome link to the information sent to new members.
