I purchased an electronic Welcome Newcomer! Packet (e-K10 $1.40) through the Amazon link found  at the al-anon.org website bookstore.  It is not identical in format to the physical packet but contains basic, important, helpful information about the program.  It is Conference Approved Literature.   

I have also purchased print Welcome Newcomer! Packets (K-10 $1.40) from  the al-anon.org bookstore.   These packets are in a slightly different format than the original pamphlets many of us were given when we first came to Al-Anon but again there is basic, important, helpful information in them.  They are Conference Approved Literature. 

There is also a lot of helpful information for newcomers on the website along with some links for free downloadable literature that is different from the Welcome Newcomer! Packets.

It is my understanding that we are repealing the old motion to send newcomers a print packet by snail mail since it had never been practical or even possible to do so routinely.  Instead the Steering Committee and Greeter Committee will select appropriate links and include them in our welcome email to newcomers.   These links can be updated from time to time as the website changes. 

It is also my understanding that we extend the July meeting long enough to vote on this motion.
