I support the Steering Committee's recommendation for six months service.

I'm still trying to put things together in my mind, but I'm willing to
trust our trusted servants on this.

I do have concerns but I don't really know how to express them.  I
understand where folks are coming from trying to prevent a repeat of past
chaos, but I have to say that the discussion of all the damage that can be
done by newcomers has really made me think twice about volunteering to
serve.  I'd like to think that any new ideas I had would at least be heard
and considered even if they're not immediately adopted.

But I also think that adopting the Steering Committee's proposal would help
my concerns.  Getting new people on the Steering Committee is a good
thing.  I will trust our trusted servants to welcome those we elect and
listen to them with open minds while offering the benefit of their
extensive experience and generous support.
