Hi ASP,

We have a lot of vacancies on the steering committee. These are the
trusted elected servants that keep ASP running. I am currently the only
elected member of the steering committee. Anne and Steve are founders
and have been asked by the steering committee to serve in their roles in
a temporary manner until someone is elected. I am also now serving as
the acting secretary temporarily until someone is elected. We have the
following vacancies on the steering committee:

Greeter Chair (3 year term)

Secretary (3 year term)

Treasurer (3 year term)

Group Representative (3 year term)

At-Large Member (6 month term)

At-Large Member (6 month term)

More information on these positions can be found here:

https://asp-afg.org/members/asp-elected-trusted-servants/

http://www.serenitysys.com/A_Serenity_Place/Business/nbm/asp_service_structure_revised_OCT_2021.html.

The At-large positions are mentioned here in #12:
https://asp-afg.org/founding-statement/

If you are interested in learning about any of these open positions,
please contact me, Anne or Steve. Or send an email to
steering_committee at asp-afg.org. If you are interested in applying for
any of the open positions, please fill out the ASP resume
(https://asp-afg.org/members/resume/) and send to the steering
committee.

There is a lot of support and training available to any new member of
the steering committee! I can't stress that enough. There is plenty of
training and we also have written guides available of how we do the jobs
(which are a roadmap of how we do these jobs and very helpful!) and the
steering committee is always available to answer questions, talk through
issues, etc. If you are considering service now or in the future, please
get in touch with any or all of us. We're happy to talk through what the
job is like on a day to day basis, what the hard parts are, what the
easy parts are (for us), how much time it takes, etc.

Hugs,

Lynne
