> I am currently filling the role of Greeter Chair.  This position supports the team of volunteers who are the first ones our new members encounter.  The Greeter Chair recruits and trains the greeters annually.  Once trained, the greeters manage the emailed requests from prospective members.  There are scripts/guidelines to use when responding to those  inquiries/requests.  The Greeter Chair provides some checks and balances to the greeters, so that any oversights are caught and resolved.  The greeters and the Greeter Chair are a team and work together to cover shifts.  The Greeter Chair gets support from the Steering Committee.

> The greeters are doing a great job, their one year anniversary is coming up at the end of this month, recruiting for 3 new greeters will begin.  An email asking for volunteers will be sent to the recovery meeting soon.  I hope to be working side by side with a new Greeter Chair as we work through the next round of recruitment and training.

> The Greeter activity report follows:

> January 2023: 25 new members joined
> February 2023: 20 new members joined

> We did see an increase in “spam” in February primarily from marketers.  We have guidelines for managing  those emails.  I have nothing else to report, as with all our recruits, this year’s set of greeters have done a terrific job.
