Good Morning (afternoon or evening) Friends..

 I am currently filling the role of Greeter Chair.  This position supports
the team of volunteers who are the first ones our new members encounter.
The Greeter Chair recruits and trains the greeters annually.  Once trained,
the greeters manage the emailed requests from prospective members.  There
are scripts/guidelines to use when responding to those  inquiries/requests.
The Greeter Chair provides some checks and balances to the greeters, so that
any oversights are caught and resolved.  The greeters and the Greeter Chair
are a team and work together to cover shifts.  The Greeter Chair gets
support from the Steering Committee.  

 

 

The Greeter activity report follows: 

 

March 2023:  10 new members joined

April 2023:  11 new members joined

Our outgoing greeters did a great job not only welcoming new members but
working together and supporting each other.   Last week, I did send an email
to the recovery meeting thanking Beth, Janice and Jenni for their service
and then welcomed our new greeters.   May 1, our new set of greeters,
Cathryn, Marilyn and Rachelle, begin their 12 months of service welcoming
newcomers to our group.  They are setup to begin that work.  ASP is
fortunate to now have a Zoom account.  We met recently, got to meet one
another virtually and then did a screenshare and Q & A ahead of their start
date.
