[Businessmtg] Steering Committee Prior Service Requirements

At the last business meeting,  we reached a consensus to have the SC screen
members with less than the current 1 year service requirement and submit
their selected resumes to the BM.  I would be in favor of giving this a
trial period of a few months before moving on to change our prior service
requirements.

I think this would give us a better feel for how many members of the
recovery meeting express interest and to experience any unexpected downside
of having less experienced members in SC service. It would be helpful to me
to hear reports from the SC on the number of applicants they screen,  and
what percentage of those are deemed ready for service.

With two vacant SC positions filled this month, I hope this will take a bit
of pressure off the SC and allow us to spend more time exploring the pros
and cons of lowering the prior service requirements.
