I'm also concerned about the number of recent resignations.  In recent
months we've had at least three people elected to secretary, treasurer, or
GR positions who have almost immediately resigned.  This seems like a most
worrisome pattern to me.

Our Steering Committee is valiantly holding the fort and stepping into
roles that are beyond their job descriptions in a most generous manner.  I
would very much like to go back to being a self-supporting group without
relying on the generosity of just a few members.

I don't have any answers, just questions.  Maybe a group inventory would
help?
