Hi everyone,

That concludes the time to discuss the admin reports.

We are a little delayed moving to the next agenda item because the 
Steering Committee has been discussing whether or not to bring an 
emergency agenda item to the BM and that took a little bit of time. 
However, we have agreed to change the next topic to something else. The 
need that we identified last week was that we urgently need help 
covering all the of the Area events.

As Anne mentioned in her GR report, there were two meetings with the 
Area Delegate to WSO recently and Anne couldn't attend them. Last week 
Jerry volunteered to attend the one on Saturday and take notes, so that 
ASP could at least know what was presented, which he did. Thank you 
Jerry!!!  But we realized we need to formalize alternates who can attend 
these types of things and represent ASP when Anne and Steve are not able 
to.

The proposal that we are bringing to the BM is that we add 
responsibilities to the two At-Large members of the Steering Committee 
that I referenced in the open positions email last week. These currently 
have no duties other than to be on and participate in the steering 
committee. What we would like to propose is that these two at-large 
members are assigned as the alternate-GR and the alternate-CMA. This 
means that either one could attend Area and District events when Anne 
(acting GR) or Steve (CMA) are not able to.

I am going to ask Steve to explain what the CMA is and what an alt-CMA 
would do, verses an alt-GR. The CMA used to be simple, but WSO has 
turned it into a more complicated position.

I would also ask Anne to talk about the various Area events that have 
occured over the last 6 months so that everyone knows why we need these 
alternates.

Discussion on this item will go until the end of Monday, April 15th.
