Hi folks,



I'm going to try to explain what a CMA is.  Unfortunately, what should be
very simple has been made much more complicated than it needs to be, so
please be patient as I explain it from the beginning as the progression of
the term "CMA" as it has evolved in recent years from the original meaning.
This is critical to this discussion.



Because this is complicated, I am going to break the subject down into
several emails.  The first will be a post containing what it says in the
Service Manual, starting with the first reference in the 1998-2000 Service
Manual, followed by what is in today's 2022-2025 Service Manual.



Lastly, I may or may not get this done this evening.  Piper, our youngest
daughter (a 6-month old Rough Collie) goes to the vet at o'dark-thirty in
the AM to get spayed, so that means no burning the midnight oil tonight.
