After hearing the various viewpoints on share retention, it seems to me that many members present do not favor keeping daily personal shares forever, if at all.  

After listening to this discussion, I have not changed my mind.  I still do not believe that retaining daily personal shares permanently is in keeping with Al-Anon Traditions and Principles.  I still believe that the safety of the practice is questionable and a concern. 

I agree that retaining shares of the group business meetings allows for accuracy and accountability.  If a summary and/or links to the database were posted to the general meeting after each quarterly meeting, it might help create interest in the process.  

Is there any database of shares, recordings, or minutes from Steering Committee meetings and correspondence that is available for members to review?
