Hi BM Friends,
I appreciate Jerry's research into the founding policies and sharing the
information. Although there for me to look at, I confess I have not taken
the time.

I agree the archiving practice has been discussed at two meetings. I
was/am a participant in both.

My opinion that archiving is not adhering to the Traditions of Al-Anon has
not changed and it is not fear or threat-based of "what if" someone tracked
it down in some ominous fashion. My opinion is based on the assurance that
what I share in these meetings stays in these meetings and I remain
anonymous. I can choose to break my own anonymity. I have no desire to
research what I shared a week ago, a year ago, or 39 years ago when I came
in.

I love the statistics and graphics Lynn provides us - I find them
interesting and appreciate the time and effort, but they are not vital to
the success of ASP meetings.
I'm sure if a complaint is received about "improper" sharing, there are
other ways to read the share than by archiving. At the least, it would be
in the delete file for a time.

Thank you for listening.
Hugs, Linda
