[Businessmtg] Archiving Shares

Biz-Pals,

No matter how hard I try to openly consider how a few members use our archived personal shares I end up running into two things:

1) Anonymity.

No matter how archived shares might help either a few members or in our administration, the protection of anonymity for the many simply can not be broken for the convenience of a few.

"Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles above personalities" -Tradition 12.

Further, it is each member who gets to choose the level of anonymity which suits them, not the group. A group keeping archives takes that choice away from the individual.

2) It would be unquestionably unacceptable if a face-to-face meeting recorded all of their meetings without the expressed permission of every person present.

Yet this is exactly what ASP does.

I'd go so far as to say that neither this Business Meeting, nor ASP's administrators, has ever had the right to decide the level of anonymity which each recovery meeting member has a right to.

We should end archiving topic meetings and remove all of their past archives.
