Thank you, Jerry, for reiterating the need for folks to go back to the
business archives - October and January to see the evolution of this topic I
provided the link to those archives in this meeting topic's opening.   

 

In January folks started talking about ideas for compromise and Lynne who
was List Administrator at the time, reached out to Esosoft, our service
provider to get understand what if any control we could apply to managing
this space.    I suggest you re-read that information as you contemplate
compromise in the arguments for and against archiving.  Note that we don't
know how many members rely on the archives because their email client
doesn't support the incoming mail but arguments for an against archives
should consider those members as well.
